What's On at Torquay Museum

My Family and Other Creatures & Creepy Crawlies

Date: 2 November 2021

Torquay Museum Society Lecture
By Frazie Hulbert
10.45am - 12 Noon

Meet some beautiful exotic creatures and learn some fascinating facts about them. There will be an opportunity to ask questions as well. ‘Frazie, put all your pet toads and scorpions back in the garden please!’ was a typical comment from my mum. Growing up in Lesotho (Africa) ignited my love of all creatures and an urge to share that passion with others. Some years ago, after teaching for 20 years (and fuelled by my volunteering at Bristol Zoo) I hatched a plan to educate young people about wildlife conservation, through hands-on sessions with a range of child-friendly exotic animals. Come and meet some of my amazing animals and hopefully learn something new!

Lectures are free of charge to Torquay Museum Society Members. But the general public are also welcome to attend - £5 per ticket, payable on the door.
