Winnaretta left her childhood home in Paignton for Paris, where her salon drew the greatest musicians of the age, including Debussy, Stravinsky, Gershwin and Cole Porter. She is buried alongside her beloved husband, Prince Edmond de Polignac, in Torquay Cemetery.

Lectures are free of charge to Torquay Museum Society Members. But the general public are also welcome to attend - £5 per ticket, payable on the door.
