Roman Day at Torquay Museum

Date: 16 March 2019

From 10am until 4pm Roman soldiers will descend on Torquay Museum for a day of family-friendly activities to celebrate the opening of a new Roman exhibition - "Ipplepen: Discoveries on the Edge of the Roman Empire".

Roman re-enactors will be on duty at the Museum throughout the day, and there will be activity sessions for different age groups. So why not come, join the fun and be one of the first people to see our exciting new exhibition!

  • 10 -11am – Under 5’s Roman craft session
  • 11.15am – 12.15 pm – Roman craft session for 6-8 year olds
  • 2 – 4 pm - Torbay Young Archaeologists Club discover the Romans for 8-16 year olds.

Space will be limited on the activity sessions so call the Museum on 01803 293975 to book your sessions and avoid disappointment.

All activities are FREE with a valid museum ticket!
