12.30pm & 2.30pm
22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th December

If you’re looking for something a little different to entertain the kids this Christmas, then enjoy a storytelling performance with the Grinch, festive trails and Christmas decoration-making at Torquay Museum on 22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th December, when museum entry will be free of charge.
The hugely talented Devon-based Pocketwatch Theatre Company will entertain all ages with The Grinch Story – an interactive performance featuring a storyteller, the Grinch and puppetry. The performances take place at 12.30pm and 2.30pm on 22nd, 23rd, 27th and 28th December and are suitable for all ages. Tickets are £5 each for children and £7 for adults, and booking is highly recommended - call 01803 293975 to reserve your tickets, or book via Eventbrite.
The Christmas-themed fun continues with a motorised Lego Santa’s sleigh building workshop at 2pm on 28th and 29th December, run by the Lego building experts at Brick Ideas. Participants will not only build their sleighs in small groups, but will then race them. The two hour family-friendly workshop costs £5 per child, with free entry to the Museum, but booking in advance is essential as places are very limited.
There will also be a fun festive trail – Help an Elf, where children will follow clues hidden around the Museum and win a prize. For those who love their arts and crafts, there is even Grinch-themed Christmas tree ornament-decorating on 22nd, 23rd and 27th December from 1.30pm to 2pm.
There are lots of other activities for children in this family-friendly museum, where they can hunt down the clues in the spooky Curse of the Mummy's Hand game, and crack the secret code to the safe on the Explorer's Trail. Many of the exhibits are interactive and fun, and are suitable for little hands and curious minds. The Museum even has its very own mummy - if you're brave enough to go and see him.
