MORE DEADLY THAN WAR: Spanish Flu & the Threat of Pandemic

Laura Spinney looks at the forgotten history of the 20th century’s worst disaster, the Spanish flu of 1918
Laura Spinney is an author and science journalist. She has published two novels in English, The Doctor and The Quick. She has also published a volume of oral history called Rue Centrale and, in 2017, a non-fiction account of the Spanish flu entitled Pale Rider: the Spanish flu of 1918 and how it changed the world. She writes on science for National Geographic, The Economist, Nature and The Guardian among others.
