Young Archaeologists Club - Visit to Buckfastleigh Caves
Date: 19 May 2018
Cost £3 per person
Join us to visit the caves and see the remains of elephant, hippo, bison, hyaena and many other creatures that lived in Devon 100,000 years ago.
Our next meeting is a site visit to the William Pengelly Cave Studies Trust’s caves at Buckfastleigh. We will have the opportunity to see inside the caves and to look at their Museum. Some of the access is slightly uneven so they recommend sturdy footwear. Also they would like to know rough numbers in advance where possible so if you could get back to me if you know you are coming: firstname.lastname@example.org
Time 2-4pm - Meet at the William Pengelly Cave Studies Trust’s caves at Buckfastleigh
Torbay YAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. YAC clubs are part of the Council for British Archaeology and get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.
Meetings will now be on every 3rd Saturday of the month and will mostly be held at Torquay Museum. We hope that they will be fun interactive sessions which will give you insights into different aspects of archaeology and beyond.
New members always welcome! email: email@example.com for more information.
