Date: 27 February 2018

In her biography of Sabine Baring-Gould, Rebecca Tope challenges some of the myths surrounding the tireless Victorian squire, parson, folk-song collector, novelist, and chronicler of Devon life who also found time to remodel Lew Trenchard Manor, the family home on Dartmoor.

This lecture will be accompanied by a book-signing, with copies of Rebecca's book Sabine Baring-Gould - The Man Who Told a Thousand Stories, available from the Museum Gift Shop.

The lecture starts at 10.45 h and is free to Torquay Museum Society members, or  £5.00 for non-members.
