What's On at Torquay Museum

Young Archaeologists

Date: 22 July 2017

Young Archaeologists Club (Torbay Branch)

The next meeting will be on Saturday 22nd July from 2 - 4pm. Sessions will be jam packed with activities to give you an idea of what it is really like to work in a museum.

TorbayYAC is open to everyone aged 8–16 years. YAC clubs get involved in all sorts of activities, including visiting and investigating archaeological sites and historic places, trying out traditional crafts, taking part in excavations, and lots more.

Meetings will now be on every 3rd Saturday of the month and will mostly be held at Torquay Museum. We hope that they will be fun interactive sessions which will give you insights into different aspects of archaeology and beyond.

This month we will be preparing activities which you can help run at our Festival of Archaeology event which is the following Saturday( 22ND).  This will be William Pengelly themed so we will do some things to learn about him and how he was a pioneer of archaeology and a founder of the museum.

New members always welcome!
